2019 Domaine Laurent Roumier Les Charmes is a poised Premier Cru from Chambolle-Musigny, offering an elegant perfume of red cherry, raspberry and fresh violets with a thread of baking spice and woodland notes. On the palate it is finely textured—silky tannins frame bright, precise acidity and a mineral backbone that carries flavours into a persistent, saline-tinged finish. The domaine applies close attention in the vineyard and cellar: fruit is carefully harvested to preserve freshness, fermented with gentle extraction and matured in French oak to add subtle structure without overwhelming the site expression. Les Charmes’ limestone-clay slopes and favourable aspect give lift and a refined, terroir-driven profile. Best enjoyed slightly chilled after a short decant to open the aromatic range.
