Known universally as 'Baby Beaucastel', this 2017 bottling hails from 30 hectares directly across the highway from the legendary Grand Vin plots. The vineyard shares the identical geological signature: Alpine diluvial deposits of 'galets roules' rounded river pebbles resting atop ancient marine molasse. These heat-storing stones release warm energy overnight, imparting incredible textural depth and physiological ripeness. Handled with organic dedication by Famille Perrin and raised traditionally in massive oak foudres, the wine unfolds with explosive aromatics of crushed wild garrigue, black cherries, dried lavender, and cracked pepper. On the palate, it delivers a deeply satisfying medium-to-full body wrapped in velvet tannins and mineral energy, defying ordinary appellation status with undeniable cellar-worthy pedigree.
