2017 IL Poggione Brunello Di Montalcino

This 2017 vintage from the esteemed region of Brunello di Montalcino is a testament to the elegance and complexity of Sangiovese. With a rich tapestry of mulberry fruit interwoven with toasty, spicy, and earthy notes, this wine captivates the senses. The palate is greeted with mouth-watering acidity that balances the bitter tannins, leading to a savory experience of concentrated bitter licorice fruit, roasted herbs, and a spicy undertone. Mature red fruits emerge, adding depth to the medium-bodied profile, while the tannic grip ensures a long, drying, and intricate finish. Aged in French oak barrels, this wine has developed a velvety texture that promises to evolve beautifully.
