2017 Joseph Drouhin Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Mouches

The 2017 vintage from this esteemed producer is a testament to the elegance and finesse that Burgundy wines are renowned for. With a deep ruby color and an intense nose, this wine offers primary notes of ripe black cherry, raspberry, and blackberry, evolving into complex smoky and liquorice aromas as it matures. On the palate, it is fresh and bright, showcasing red cherry with a hint of smokiness reminiscent of cured meat. The texture is fleshy, and the body is firm yet silky, with lively tannins that soften with age. This wine promises a harmonious and full finish, with a delightful persistence of delicate tannins and red fruit.
