品飲筆記:酒色中等深寶石紅,前段散發黑莓、野生藍莓與成熟黑果香,尾段有微辣的胡椒與礦物鐵質感。入口果實飽滿但不厚重,酸度鮮明,單寧細緻有抓力,口感既野性又優雅,餘韻長且帶礦感。
酒莊與葡萄園:來自Vosne高地一個約280公尺的高位地塊,朝向偏東北,土壤偏暗且滿布大塊白堊與石塊——因此「Les Barreaux」有「多石」之意。這片田地賦予酒款明顯的礦性與良好陳年潛力,酒莊由Gros家族經營,注重地塊特色。
釀造與陳年:沿用傳統釀造方法,紅酒在內襯水泥槽發酵12–15天,將流出汁與壓榨汁混合處理,澄清至少48小時以去除粗澀沉澱。約16個月的桶陳(酒莊對頂級酒款使用相當比例的新桶),讓果實與香料、礦質緊密結合。
品飲建議:年輕時醒酒一小時左右會更顯開放風味,建議溫度15–17°C。配餐方面很適合烤鴨、山羌或煙燻鹿肉、風乾偏瘦的牛排,以及成熟硬質起司,能與酒的酸度與礦味互相襯托。
Tasting Note: Deep ruby with an expressive nose of wild blackberry, blueberry and black fruit, edged by peppery spice and an iron-driven mineral streak. The palate is concentrated yet poised — juicy fruit at the core, brisk acidity and fine-grained tannins that give structure without heaviness. A sapid, somewhat austere profile that opens with air to reveal elegant spice and a long, mineral finish.
Producer & Vineyard: From a higher-altitude Vosne plot (~280m) at the mouth of the Concoeur valley with north‑east exposure. The dark, stony soils — notable for large chalky elements — deliver a mineral spine and marked ageing potential. The parcel’s name, “Les Barreaux,” reflects the stony character underfoot.
Winemaking & Ageing: Traditional vinification at the domaine with temperature‑controlled fermentation (12–15 days) in lined cement tanks, where free‑run and press fractions are blended after settling. Barrel ageing lasts around 16 months with a substantial use of new oak at the domaine for its top cuvées. The result balances freshness and maturity, with a clear mineral tone and spice lifted through gentle élevage.
Service & Pairing: Best decanted for 60–90 minutes if tasting young. Serve at 15–17°C. Pairs beautifully with roast duck, game, lean beef dishes and mature cheeses — dishes that mirror the wine’s combination of fresh acidity, savoury mineral edge and gently firm tannins.
