Tasting note: A refined Highland single malt with a warm, honeyed nose of toffee, baked apple and subtle orange peel. The palate is rich and rounded — caramel and dried apricot layered over vanilla oak and gentle baking spice, with a dark chocolate edge that appears on the mid‑palate. The finish is long and warming, leaving echoes of toasted oak, cinnamon and lingering sweet spice.

Producer notes: From Fettercairn Distillery in the Highlands, this 18‑year expression showcases the distillery’s careful maturation approach. Bottled at 46% ABV, it balances fruit sweetness with oak spice and a polished texture that typifies mature Highland malts.

Production & maturation: Fermented and distilled in traditional copper pot stills, the spirit is matured for 18 years in a selection of carefully chosen oak casks — including well-seasoned American oak and European oak influences — allowing time for concentrated flavours to develop without overpowering the malt’s intrinsic character.

Vineyard (terroir) notes: While not a vineyard wine, the spirit’s character reflects the Highlands’ cool climate and nearby barley farms: soft, rounded cereal notes, clean mineral water used in production, and a temperate aging environment that brings out layered fruit and gentle spice. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water; allow about 10–20 minutes in the glass to open up.
