酒廠介紹:來自艾雷島傳奇的拉弗格酒廠(現為 Beam Suntory 旗下),以泥煤乾燥的大麥與海邊的製酒風格聞名。這款以大桶熟成後轉入1/4桶加強木香的做法,讓煙燻與橡木香更緊密交織。
釀造工藝:先在大型波本桶熟成,最後幾個月轉入較小的1/4桶(quarter cask),增加木材接觸面,抽出更多香草、焦糖與辛香,口感更濃郁。通常以中高酒精度裝瓶,保留油脂感與質地。

Tasting note: A bold Islay signature — medicinal peat and ashy smoke dominate the nose, layered with sea-salt brine, tar and a hint of sweet vanilla and honey. On the palate it is oily and full, showing sweet grain, warm oak spice and black pepper beneath a persistent wave of smoke and maritime salinity. The finish is long, powerful and slightly drying, with lingering peat, chili warmth and coastal iodine.
Producer notes: From Laphroaig’s celebrated distillery on Islay, this expression is a double-cask maturation: initial ageing in larger bourbon casks followed by finishing in smaller quarter casks to increase wood interaction and intensify oak-derived spice and sweetness. No age statement; typically bottled at c.46–48% ABV and presented to showcase the distillery’s signature peat profile.
Winemaking/Distilling notes: Distilled at Laphroaig and matured first in ex-bourbon barrels before transfer to quarter casks for a final period — the smaller casks amplify oak contact, accelerating oxidation and extraction of caramel, vanilla and spice notes while concentrating smoke and tar. Bottles are often non-chill-filtered to preserve texture and oils.
Vineyard/Region notes: Born of Islay’s wind-swept peat bogs and salty air, the spirit carries the island’s maritime minerality and medicinal peat character. Barley is malted and peat-smoked in the traditional style; the coastal environment and peat-rich fuel define the whisky’s briny, smoky identity.
