Tasting note: The Silken Gown 14-year unfurls with a soft, inviting nose of honeyed orchard fruit and warm vanilla, edged by bright citrus peel and a whisper of toasted oak. On the palate it is notably silky — creamy malt and toffee lead, followed by candied orange, light baking spice and a gentle nutty warmth. The finish is long, gently spicy and sweet, with oak spice lingering.

Producer notes: From The Singleton’s Speyside house, this 14-year-old special release showcases the distillery’s hallmark smoothness. Crafted to highlight elegance over aggression, it aims for a refined, approachable profile that rewards both newcomers and collectors.

Distillation & maturation: Distilled in traditional copper pot stills and matured patiently for 14 years in carefully selected casks. The marriage of casks yields a balance of fresh oak influence and sweet, dried-fruit complexity — the result is polished and rounded rather than heavily sherried or peaty.

Barley & region: Born of Speyside’s gentle climate and soft spring waters, the spirit reflects the region’s grain-forward character. Local barley and careful malting practices contribute to the malted, biscuity backbone that supports the sweeter, fruit-driven notes.
