Tasting Note: Deep, opaque ruby with a complex bouquet of black plum, blackberry and cassis threaded with violet florals, graphite and a touch of smoked espresso. On the palate it is concentrated and plush yet energetic — ripe dark fruit core, lively mineral-tinged acidity, silky fine-grained tannins and layered oak spice leading to a long, cocoa-tinged finish. Producer Notes: Latour à Pomerol takes its name from the tower beside the château. The property was acquired by Madame Loubat in 1917 and farmed by Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix since 1962; the family completed acquisition in 2024. Vineyard Notes: Soils are remarkably diverse across the holding — gravel and clay parcels near the village church give structure and depth, while surrounding loam contributes roundness and harmony, producing wines with both power and finesse. Winemaking & Ageing: Fermented in thermo-regulated concrete and stainless steel vats with gentle, controlled maceration and extraction. Aged 12–14 months in French oak barrels (approximately 50% new) to integrate spice and toast without overpowering the fruit. Drinking Window: 2025–2050. Serve after roughly 60 minutes of decanting for best aromatic lift and palate balance.
