Tasting note
Tasting note: Bright black-plum and blackberry fruit opens with a lift of cherry and graphite, followed by dark cocoa and savoury spice. The palate is energetic and well-focused: medium-full, juicy fruit wrapped in fine-grained tannins, finishing long, fresh and slightly saline.
Producer notes: Connétable Talbot is the talented second wine of Château Talbot, benefitting from careful vineyard work and strict selection. It delivers a classic, elegant Médoc profile with a clear structure and a persistent, fresh finish.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested with successive manual and optical sorting. Fermentation and élevage in stainless steel, followed by 16 months ageing in French oak. Bottled under cork for balanced development.
Vineyard: Sourced from Saint-Julien parcels planted on Médoc’s characteristic gravelly soils, managed by the Bignon‑Cordier family. The gravel provides drainage and minerality that contribute to the wine's tension and saline finish.
